Meet Our Optometrists
Redhawk Vision Center provides innovative eye care services to patients from Temecula, Murrieta, Winchester, and Menifee. We offer comprehensive eye health assessments, ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, contact lens evaluation and fitting, and prescriptions.
We welcome new patients and accept most major forms of insurance.
Dr. Donny Broyles attended Xavier University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University Of Houston College of Optometry, and is a Diplomate for the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Broyles has been recognized for his affiliation with a renowned glaucoma study. He assisted in laser treatments and finding a therapeutic regimen to stabilize glaucoma.
Dr. Broyles is an active member of California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, San Diego Optometric Society, National Optometric Association, and a past board member fo the Southwest YMCA. He enjoys sports, music, traveling, and good food. The word that describes Dr. Broyles is patient.
Dr. Steven Su attended University of California, Los Angeles and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Su is an active member of Beta Sigma Kappa, American Optometric Association, and America Academy of Optometry. He is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. When he is not gazing into the window of people’s souls, he is playing video games, trying new recipes, going on short hikes, and enjoying a Wikipedia reading spree for trivial facts. Dr. Sonya Hooks-Broyles attended University of California, San Diego and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and minor in Biology, Revelle College. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Sonya is an active member of California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and San Diego Optometric Society. She enjoys Pilates, Literature Ladies Book Club, traveling, and live music. The word that describes Dr. Sonya is congenial.
Dr. Broyles and Dr. Sonya have resided in Temecula for 23 years with two children. They have enjoyed private practice in Temecula over 20 years, always placing their community as a priority. Over the years, the Broyles’ have been actively involved and sponsored the following: Great Oak High School, Temecula Valley High School, Chaparral High School, Murrieta Valley High School, Linfield Christian School, Temecula Valley Pop Warner Football, Temecula Valley Youth Softball Association, and Southwest YMCA.
